Happy Vernal Equinox!
First and foremost: I apologize for the lack of updates on my blog. Life certainly seems to get in the way of blogging as of late, unfortunately. I don’t very many comments and feedback (and I hope this will change soon as I’m all for discussion and lively debate) but I do receive a lot of views. Parts 3 and 4 of my Forbidden Fruit series are still in the works, so keep your eyes peeled for those. I will be going through material that to my knowledge hasn’t been discussed very much even in modern occult circles. The Kabbalah and its many variations, will, however be the focal point for the next entry. In the meantime, my article Gnostic Stranger in Upanishadic Thought has been just published at the Journal for the Western Mystery Tradition by my good friend and all around awesome guy, Jeffery Kupperman. That should suffice your reading fill until my next post. I would also highly recommend to read the other essays in the Platonism issue.
I am also in the process of finally releasing my first novel, Crimson Mist! Just give me a few months and it will finally be out for the world to read. It all depends if I decide to go the traditional route or the self-publishing route. There are both upside and downsides to both routes but self-publishing is clearly becoming the preferred route nowadays, so why not me jump on the bandwagon as well? Delta Heavy, my cyberpunk/science fiction novel is also in the process of being completed. Time will tell; it always does.
I also plan on writing a series of scholarly-oriented essays in which will hopefully blossom into a collection as a book in the vein of Baron Friedrich Von Hugel and his work. I plan on tackling issues ranging from Eros and Greek Orphic paganism in On the Origin of the World, Gnostic Christology and the controversial issue over the true identity of Simon Magus, Goethe’s mysticism and the god of Socrates, Hegelian dialecticism and Marcionite Christianity, the mystery of the Emerald Tablets and much, much more. I will not be posting them, however, on this blog but rather at academia.edu, individually.
Also, be sure to visit my friend, James’s blog and Youtube Channel, where you will also find yours truly on our video podcast, Aeon Arcanum, discussing anything and everything.
Last but not least, check out my DJ mixes at Mixcloud and Soundcloud (yes, I DJ on the side). Lot’s of projects for sure but it will be all worth it in the end.
LVX, blessings and IC XC
